Mércia was a young lawyer that disappeared some 23 of May this year. Her car was found on June 10 with her body inside. It had been dumped in a water reservoir.

The investigation that followed showed that she had been assaulted while she was in her car. Investigation of the body showed she had been shot in the jaw and police suspect she fainted shortly thereafter. The killer then pushed the car into the water drowning the victim (rather than killing her from the gun shot wound).

A fisherman came forward telling the police he saw the car enter the water on the 23rd of May; he also said he saw a unidentified man leave the car and that he had heard a woman screaming.

The main suspects of the murder are her former boyfriend, a lawyer and retired police officer named Mizael Bispo de Souza. He denies any guilt.

Other suspects in the case, the brother of Mizael and Evandro Silva Bezerra, 38 years of age. They were ordered to come in for interrogation but went missing. They are now wanted by the police.

The GPS tracker on Mizael´s car shows he was near the place where Mércia was last seen (in her grandparents house) on May 23. He had also visited the dam where Mércia and her car was submerged a few days earlier.

The story could have ended there, but some Brazilian gore-sites posted the images of her body. The family of Mércia sent their lawyer (Alexandre Domingues de Sá) after all sites who one by one caved in to the demand of the lawyer. The pictures practically disappeared from the net.

The Justice Magistrate in the area is also investigating how the pictures leaked to the web. The matter have been delegated to Internal Affairs Division of the Civil Police.

The Medical-Legal Institute (IML) denied any involvement in leaking the images. Beside IML also the Institute of Criminology and the civilian Police had access to the material.

“We clarify that the photos posted on the Internet are not official from the Medical-Legal Institute. The case will be forwarded to the inspector general of the Civil Police. (Signed the note by the board of IML).

Brazilian media speculated how the photos got leaked, curious onlookers where mentioned, but we acquired the complete set that show clearly the images where not from amateurs but from law enforcement (or people working close to them, like IML), look for an example how many of the images are from a rather private setting inside IML (the complete set has not been published on any site before ViralDeath).

Seven Brazilian sites published the images and they where forced to take down the images by the lawyer contacting them.

A Morte e Corpo de Mércia Nakashima

Mércia era uma jovem advogada que desapareceu há alguns meses. O carro dela foi encontrado em 10 de junho com seu corpo dentro. O carro havia sido empurrado em um uma represa.

O inquérito que se seguiu mostrou que ela tinha sido assaltada enquanto estava em seu carro. Investigações periciais do corpo mostraram que ela tinha levado um tiro na mandíbula, e a polícia suspeita que ela desmaiou logo em seguida. O assassino então empurrou o carro para a água afogando a vítima em seu interior. (ao invés de matá-la a partir da arma de fogo).

Um pescador se adiantou a dizer à polícia que viu o carro entrar na água no 23 de maio, ele também disse que viu um homem não identificado sair do carro e que ele tinha ouvido uma mulher gritando.

Os principais suspeitos do assassinato são o seu ex-namorado, um advogado e policial aposentado chamado Mizael Bispo de Souza.

Ele nega qualquer envolvimento.

Outros suspeitos no caso, o irmão de Mizael Silva e Evandro Bezerra, 38 anos de idade, foram obrigados a depôr, mas desapareceram. Eles agora são procurados pela polícia.

O rastreador GPS no carro de Mizael mostra que ele estava perto do local onde foi visto pela última vez Mercia (em sua casa dos avós), em maio 23. Ele também visitou a barragem onde Mercia e seu carro foram submersos poucos dias antes do crime.

A história poderia ter terminado aí, mas algums goresites brasileiros haviam publicado as imagens de seu corpo. A família de Mercia havia enviado seu advogado (Alexandre Domingues de Sá), para retirar as fotos do ar. Todos os sites cederam ao pedido do advogado.
As fotos praticamente desapareceram da rede.

O magistrado da Justiça na área também está investigando como as fotos vazaram para a web. O assunto tem sido delegado a Corregedoria da Polícia Civil.

O Instituto Médico-Legal (IML) negou qualquer envolvimento no vazamento das imagens. Além do IML, também o Instituto de
Criminologia e Polícia Civil teve acesso ao material.

“Esclarecemos que as fotos postadas na internet não são oficiais do Instituto Médico-Legal. O caso será encaminhado ao inspetor geral da Polícia Civil. (Assina a nota do conselho de IML).

A mídia brasileira havia especulado como as fotos vazaram, curiosos foram mencionados, mas nós adquirimos o completo set que mostra claramente que as imagens não são amadoras, mas sim de órgãos de segurança pública, procure um exemplo de como muitos das imagens são de um cenário bastante particular dentro do IML (o conjunto completo não foi publicado em qualquer site antes).

Sete sites brasileiros publicaram as imagens e eles foram retirados do ar pelo advogado, que entrou em contato com eles.
