Overdoses sometimes occur that leads to the death of the user. Painkillers like some opiods can be lethal in to high dosages. It can lead to sleep apnea or in some cases pulmonary edema. The individual sometimes simply drown in her-/himself. Sometimes the fluids seaping out have a strange discoloration because of the dye included in some medications.
Some recreational users tries to highten the effect of the drugs by using a plastic bag, visable in one of these images.
In some cases the individual may die from a terminal seizure, and those can in some cases be visable by the individual biting her/his own lips, also visiable in one of the images.

Ironic that painkillers can cause so much pain – especially to those who love the abuser. If you’re going to use painkillers just for the high, make sure you use great moderation and discretion. That way, you are master over them and not them over you.

i dont understand the plastic bag thing/ In my 10 years of being in a discreet relationship with pain killers Ive never heard of a plastic bag being used. well crap, there goes discreet.

Yea, I had a problem with them a few years ago, and never heard of the plastic bag either.
I think the plastic bag entry has confused some people and is now laughing at its practical joke.
The only time I have seen a plastic bag, on a person’s face, is to switch off the airway. I have worked in emergency dept, ICU, drug and alcohol rehab and have had a long and, mostly, happy relationship with opiates. This experience allows me to confidently say that the bag is a suicide option.

@ Zac Opiates are non-toxic. They kill by dampening the breathing centre of the brain stem. Aspirin is toxic to the kidneys. Paracetamol is the only OTC analgesic that’s toxic to the liver.
